Kimberly Walpert M.D., FAANS
Dr. Kimberly Walpert is a board-certified neurosurgeon and the Medical Director of Neurosurgery at Piedmont Athens Neurosurgery. She earned her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, followed by a general surgery internship at the University of Tennessee at Memphis and a neurosurgical residency at The University of Tennessee and Semmes Murphey Clinic in Memphis. In addition to her clinical practice, she serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the GRU/UGA Medical Partnership, contributing to the education and training of future physicians. Dr. Walpert has practiced neurosurgery in Athens for more than 20 years and was the founding partner of Piedmont Athens Neurosurgery. She provides expert care for a broad range of neurosurgical conditions, including complex spine disorders, brain tumors, and peripheral nerve injuries. As a board-certified neurosurgeon by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, she is committed to delivering the highest standard of patient-centered care, utilizing the most advanced surgical techniques to improve patient outcomes.
